My beautiful cousin, Emily, turned 30 last month. Her family threw her a fun birthday bash in Carlsbad. She is not a big sweets eater or cake lover, but I think I changed her mind with a scratch made German Chocolate cake. The rich pecan and coconut caramel with the decadent chocolate cake made for an incredible treat.
